How did you find out about your selection for commies and how did it feel?
I originally found out over email and I was over the moon to have been selected because I had the time for a good few months and to finally know that I was going was a relief but also very exciting.
How did you get into swimming?
My parents originally got me into swimming when I was about 2 or 3 in kids learn to swim and then when I was around 6 I moved to my first club where I continued to progress from there.
What motivates you in swimming?
Motivation for me is mainly the reward you get from swimming. I personally love going away on camps and different places around the world which if I didn’t swim I maybe wouldn’t ever go to. Also, the medals and success; when you get a medal you’ve been striving for, or make a team you’ve been aiming for it really makes the graft worth it.
What are you most looking forward to about commonwealths?
I’m looking forward to the challenge of commonwealths and being able to race against some of the fastest swimmers in the world, hopefully pushing them to get a final sport in my races.
What are you competing in and when?
I’m racing in the 400 IM on the 6th of April, the 200 Fly on the 7th of April, 200 IM on the 10th of April and potentially the 4x100 free relay on the 6th and the 4x200 free relay on the 8th.
