Hallam swimming secretary 2022/23
Hi everyone, I just wanted to start by saying I am sorry I cannot be there in person, but I appreciate you all taking your time to listen to me present my speech.
The reason I have put myself forward for secretary and believe I would be a good fit for this role is that I know it’s part of the committee leadership team working alongside the chairman and treasurer, and therefore teamwork and taking on responsibilities is a big part of this role and is critical to stay committed throughout everything that happens with the club
I believe I can bring my experience in working with teams through the involvement of assessments, my job, and the Hackathon in which I participated last weekend. Torough knowledge and understanding, I can add to this role as I am currently studying sports business management and have a true passion for this, being organised and keeping up to date with work or assignments I may have is essential to me, and missing deadlines is something I don’t do.
Suppose I am given this opportunity to become a part of the committee. In that case, I will bring everything I have by giving my total commitment when needed, being open to any challenges that may arise, being open to new ideas, being there for everyone and providing encouragement to get the club to the highest potential.
The Hallam swim team has always been there for me through support, giving me confidence and team spirit. Being a part of the Hallam swimming committee would be a great privilege as I have gotten a lot from this club and if elected to this position, I will always strive to do my best and perform my role to the fullest.
Thank you to Mossy and Georgia for giving me the confidence, support, and encouragement that I needed to put myself forward to this role. I know this support is key and I will continue to provide this.
