Dodgeball

Welcome to the Hallam Hawks!

Sheffield Hallam Hawks Dodgeball Team is a friendly, active club open to all abilities. No previous experience of playing dodgeball is needed, and beginners are always welcome! For 2023/24 we'll be running two training sessions each week:

Wednesday - 16:00 to 18:00 - City Campus Sports Hall, Level 0 Surrey Building

Friday - 18:00 to 20:00 - City Campus Sports Hall, Level 0 Surrey Building

Friday Social Training (Open to all!) - 17:00 - 18:00 - City Campus Sports Hall, Level 0 Surrey Building

Everyone is welcome to training, whether you are an experienced player interested in joining the team or an absolute beginner with no history of playing dodgeball! In addition to playing, there is an opportunity for you to engage with courses covering both refereeing and coaching as the year goes on. 

Alongside the training and sports aspect of the club, we also have regular nights out and other social activities for members to join in on. Membership will include access to a wide array of discount cards provided by our sponsors!

League

Teams will be selected in the week ahead of league meets and tournaments, based on the weekly training sessions. 

Since the 2021/22 season, Dodgeball is now affiliated with the prestigious BUCS league system. We will have one team competing in the Men’s Northern Tier 1 and one team competing in the Men's Nothern Tier 2.

As well as our BUCS team, we are hoping to enter Men’s, Women’s and Mixed teams into the British Dodgeball Regional Leagues and Opens which are hosted around the country throughout the year. 

Membership

There are a range of membership options available, designed to suit everyone who wants to come along!

For those just wishing to come to training in the week and partake in our social activities, a Social/Development membership will suffice!

Those wishing to compete in the BUCS league will need to purchase a Team Hallam Annual or Team Hallam Ultimate membership.
