The Futsal Club is a men's club, with a 1st Team squad who play in the BUCS league and a 2nd Team squad who play in a local league. Futsal is a growing 5-a-side game, played with a smaller ball to football, which reduces the bounce and focuses more on a player’s skill. The level of play is competitive and the teams are selected through trials held at the start of the year. Weekly training sessions are run at EIS and matches are typically on a Sunday or on a weekday evening.
Regular social sport sessions are also run weekly for developing players or people who just want to play casually.
Try out Futsal oe get in some extra practice. This session allows you to play the game, as well as learn and develop your skills. Just turn up and our Student Sport Activators will put you into teams.
Sessions are £2.50 or free if you have a SHU-Active or Team Hallam membership. Just turn up on the day, or you can book in advance with our online booking system, or at SHU-Active reception. See our social sport timetable to find a session. For any questions email us.
Register your interest here (link to online sign-up sheet) or at Sports Fair in September to attend trials. Teams will be selected by early October.
