What's on offer?
The Netball Club is Team Hallam's biggest team sport club, with 5 teams playing in BUCS leagues and additional teams in local leagues providing opportunities for developing players. The level of play is competitive and the teams are selected through trials held at the start of the year. Weekly training sessions are run at EIS on Monday evenings, with additional strength and conditioning training at Collegiate gym on a Thursday evening. Matches are typically on a Wednesday afternoon or Tuesday evening.
For developing players and people who want to play recreationally, there are opportunities to enter weekly intramural netball leagues at Collegiate sports hall.
Are you interested in playing netball, making friends and getting fit? Then these sessions are ideal for you. No need to bring anyone with you, as our Student Sport Activator will introduce you to participants, place into teams and rotate teams on and off the court. Mainly these sessions involve small sided netball games between equally matched teams. If you are unsure of the rules or want to work on specific areas of your game then instruction can be provided upon request.
Sessions are £2.50 or free if you have a SHU-Active or Team Hallam membership. Just turn up on the day, or you can book in advance with our online booking system, or at SHU-Active reception. See our social sport timetable to find a session. For any questions email us.
