The Netball Club

Sheffield Hallam Netball is one of the largest team sports clubs at the university with 6 BUCS squads competing in the Northern leagues and 2 additional teams playing in the local South Yorkshire league providing opportunities for first-year developing players. All 8 squads play to a competitive standard and teams are selected through trials held at the start of the academic year.

Weekly training:

• BUCS 1-6 Squads: Every Monday 8-10pm @ EIS
• Development team 7: Every Monday 6-8pm @ EIS
• S&C Sessions 1-6 Squads: Every Thursday in a 1 hour allocated slot between 5-9pm @ Collegiate Gym 
• Friday training Sessions 1-7 Squads: Every Friday 6-8pm @ Collegiate Sports Hall or an outdoor session

*Please note: Team Hallam Ultimate membership is required if successfully selected, this includes the strength and conditoning package (with 4 physiotherapy sessions) and access to all gym facilities and social sport sessions. Price: tbc.*

Social Netball

If highly competitive netball is not for you, there are more opportunities to get involved with netball at a recreational level! Bring a friend with you and let our Student Sport Activators deliver some sessions, before sorting you into teams to do some match play. Don’t worry if you aren’t familiar with the rules, just ask one of the activators for some guidance and you’ll be on your way to learning and improving your game!

Our social sessions are held at:

TUESDAYS @ Collegiate Campus Sports Hall: 4-5pm

Sessions are £2.50 each time or free if you have a SHU-Active or Team Hallam membership. Please book in advance with our online booking system on shu.ac.uk/socialsport prior to showing up for the session. See our social sport timetable to find a session.
