Ultimate Frisbee is a growing sport which is becoming increasingly popular at universities. The Ultimate Frisbee Club at Hallam is an open and friendly club, with opportunities for all abilities to train and compete in the sport. The club have 2 Men's Teams competing in regular BUCS outdoor frisbee leagues, and 1 Women's team who compete in both outdoor and indoor frisbee tournaments. There are also opportunities to play in mixed gender squads at beginners tournaments and other national events throughout the year. Training and home matches for outdoor frisbee are held at Sheffield Hallam Sports Park on Bawtry Road. Indoor training sessions also take place on weekday evenings in the Collegiate and City Campus sports halls.
The Ultimate Frisbee Club are very welcoming to beginners, with most players never having tried the sport before university. Weekly social sport sessions are run by the club at Collegiate sports hall for people to drop in and play casually, or to try the sport for the first time. Opportunities available for students to develop coaching skills through leading the sessions as a Student Sport Activator volunteer. (link to social sport timetable)
Register your interest here (link to online sign-up sheet) or at Sports Fair in September to attend trials. Teams will be selected by October.
No need to sign up in advance, simply drop in to one of the Social Sport sessions for £2.50 a time, all equipment is provided
