Korfball is a growing sport which is becoming increasingly popular at universities. It is a mixed sport, with men and women playing on the same court, and the setup of the game is a kind of mix between basketball and netball.
The Korfball Club at Hallam is an open and friendly club, which is growing and developing year on year. The club have 3 teams competing in BUCS championships and student league, which are typically held in the form of weekend tournaments. They also have two teams that compete in the Central England Korfball League and the Yorkshire Korfball League, through regular weekend fixtures. A fourth team/development squad also train to provide opportunities for developing players. Training and home matches are usually held at EIS.

The Social Sport Activators will help you learn the essential skills and rules needed to play Korfball. Once you’ve got the basics, expect plenty of game time to help hone your new found skills. These sessions are closely linked with the Korfball club so there's a real social feel to the sessions as well as clear progression pathways if you get the Korfball buzz.

Teams will be selected during Semester 1, however will be revisited throughout the year.
