Last week saw the British National summer swimming championships take place at Ponds Forge. Sheffield Hallam had five athletes compete and collectively won six medals.
Leading the way was Sam Budd who took gold in the 19 and over 800 freestyle alongside winning silver in both the 400 and 1500 freestyle.
Izzy Grant also won a silver in the women's 19 and over 200 butterfly alongside a 4th place finish in a new club record for the 100 butterfly.
Melanie Hall received her first individual national medals in the 19 and over 400 individual medley. She also placed 7th in the 200 butterfly final.
Oliver Crosby achieved two final swims where he placed 7th in both the 50 and 100 breastroke.
And finally Abbie Houston won a silver in the 400 freestyle final which was also her last individual swim. Abbie has won multiple National and BUCS medals over the years and we wish her all the success in her life outside of swimming.
