Our trampolining club had their own 'Olympian' experience at Graves Sport Centre with Double Olympic Medallist coach Paul Greaves. Paul led a session with 17 of our students from our Trampolining club who are preparing for their BUCS nationals in February 2022. This will be 1 of a series of sessions Paul is going to deliver to the club. After being awarded a performance award the club are really showing their performance strengths in recent competitions and these sessions with Paul will only help progress the athletes within the club and also support the growth of trampolining at Sheffield Hallam.

Here is what some of the athletes had to say about the session;

'The session helped me to revisualise my moves by taking things back to basic techniques. The advice I had from Paul about how to lift into each move has changed my approach and improved each of my skills going forward. It felt like something had clicked in my mind and I think it has laid down a good foundation for my future development in trampolining.'

'Paul offered me great advice on my jumping technique and feet positioning which has improved my stability on the trampoline, I have taken this into my training sessions, and I will use it in the next competition. Overall, it was a great session and I can't wait for the next!'

'The facilities at Graves were great, the ultimate trampolines were amazing to train on and I loved having the chance to try out the Double Mini Tramp for the first time. It was a good change from our usual training and a fun experience.'

'I loved the session at Graves Sports centre. Paul's coaching on twisting was really helpful and I even managed to do a back drop full twist to feet for the first time by using the techniques he had shown us. It was an insightful experience and amazing to have coaching advice not only from a different perspective but from the coach of a double Olympic medallist and world champion in trampolining!'
