This is a key programme for the University in its strategy to become recognised as a market leader of applied opportunities.

The posts will be responsible for the delivery of S&C services to the University Sports Clubs, Performance Athletes and Societies and reporting and testing of individuals on the programmes. Further key responsibilities include the efficient day to day operation of activities and building relationships with the workforce including volunteers. The strength and conditioning work placement opportunity is in arrangement with the MSc Strength and Conditioning Coaching course at Sheffield Hallam University. Applicants for this role must have applied and met the entry requirements to be considered, and be able to demonstrate progression through the course throughout the 2021/22 academic year.

You will need to be a flexible team player with an ability to create relationships with students. Fostering collaboration with club committees and individuals, along with an ability to plan, organise and prioritise your workload are essential. You will also be customer focused and able to use your own initiative in a fast moving and results driven environment. Strong IT and communication skills will be a prerequisite.

It is desirable that you have an understanding of Higher Education sport and working with students and volunteers, particularly those who are looking to improve sport performance, and ideally looking towards holding UKSCA Accreditation. This is an opportunity for those with a passion for performance sport to study and gain applied experience in the Higher Education sector for a progressive University with a pedigree in developing people.
