Hello my name is Josh Badham and I am a first year Business Student
The first thing that I am going to do is to make sure that there is enough money in the budget to allow university provided transport to Sheffield Tigers when we train up there because I know how annoying it can be for students without cars to get up there when they are living in or near the city centre. This will therefore boost numbers at training if we are up there and hopefully lead to more freshers signing up for the club thus bringing in more money
I will figure out a new way to divide the money coming into the club between the different officers that allow them to provide a better experience for the players which includes allowing the tour and social secs more of the budget to allow them to provide nights out for the players after games have been won, bringing in new sponsors to allow this to happen.
I would also like to dedicate a portion of the budget to charity work to give back to the community in Sheffield. This mean purchasing more imperishable food from supermarkets and giving it to food banks in the city as well as running charity events such as sponsored touch rugby games with the Rugby League club and the Women's Rugby club and possibly with The University of Sheffield.
