Manifesto for the position of Treasurer of the Sheffield Hallam Rugby Union
Why am I applying for this Role?
- I am applying for the role of treasurer because I would love to be further involved in our club.
- I want the best for our club in terms of finances and make sure that each member will get value for Money as I don’t want your membership fees being wasted!
What will i do to improve the club?
- To raise funds due to the financial hit from COVID-19 we could do monthly fundraisers, these funds will be directly reinvested back into the club for your benefit.
- I will also try and maximise the inflows for the club by researching sponsorships and by organising other activities to raise funds for our club.
- I will also clearly lay out any other costs which members can opt in/out of when they are joining.
Previous Experience
- I have had previous experience working in the financial sector as I have worked for a Building Society for over a year.
- I am also studying Accounting and Finance (BA) at Hallam, so I have relevant experience in dealing with the Cash Flow of a company and prioritising on what will be the best in terms of specific investments for our club, to enable the growth of each players ability and happiness in the club. Some of my grades in semester 1 were a 1st in Law, Corporate Governance, and Ethics; a 1st in Financial Accounting and a 2:1 in Financial Analysis. These results show I am trustworthy and will show integrity with my work.
- Before University I also studied Economics, Finance and Computing so I have relevant experience in budgeting. I will treat this position with the upmost integrity and professionalism to make sure your money is being spent efficiently and wisely. Most importantly to aid the growth of you and the club.
