What does a Chairperson do? 

Leads the rest of the committee to ensure they effectively fullfil their roles and responsibilities, represents the club at meetings and chairs committee meetings, inspires and guides club members.

What does a Secretary do? 

In charge of communications, admin, record keeping and memberships.

Overseas spending club funds, collecting money in and keeping accurate financial records.

Additional Committee Roles

What does a Captain do? 

Leads and inspires squads and athletes to compete to the best of their abilities, and ensures relevant paperwork is sorted for all matches and competitions.

What does a Kit Officer/ Equipment Officer do? 

Ensures that everyone in the club has suitable kit for matches and competitions, and that Team Hallam owned kit is kept in a good condition and returned at the end of the season. Organises leisurewear orders for club members. Keeps accurate records of the condition of all club equipment, and ensures it's all labelled, stored and used properly. Orders new when necessary.

What does a Equal Opportunities Officer do? 

Ensures all club activities are fully inclusive and that the club does not discriminate, as well as making sure selection for matches and competitions is fair and transparent.

What does a Safety & Training Officer do? 

Overseas health and safety processes for all club activity and ensures that relevant training and qualifications are undertaken by club members in order to run activities safely.

What does a Social Secretary do?

Plans, promotes and runs club socials and events, and ensures these activities are inclusive and that behaviour of club members is appropriate.

What does a Trip Secretary do?

Plans, promotes and runs club trips, working with other committee members to organise trip finances and make sure all trip activities are safe.

What does a Communications / Promotions Officer do?

Works with the Secretary to promote the club, run the social media accounts and website, and communicate important information.

Plans for the long term development and improvement of the club and works with relevant staff to achieve club aims.
