Careers and Employability Support at Sheffield Hallam University

We offer you:

A dedicated Careers and Employability Consultant for your Faculty. Your dedicated faculty Careers and Employability Consultant can give you specialist careers guidance, which will help you to make decisions about what to do in the future.

A dedicated Employability Adviser for your course area. Once you are clear about career ideas our Employability Advisers will support you with the steps to get what you want - for example; helping you make a great CV and applications to polishing your interview technique and all the stages in between.

All of our advisers work with all full time and part-time undergraduate and postgraduate students, placement students, and graduates for up to 5 years after finishing your course.

Finding Jobs

There are a range of job search engines.  Our advice is to visit specific websites for your chosen occupational area.  Visit Careers Central's 'Options with your subject' tab or speak to your Employability Adviser for advice on where to look.

Events and Workshops

Throughout the academic year, we host a range of careers fairs, employer talks and presentations and careers talks and practical workshops. Visit UniHub to search for events - keep visiting the site as it will be regularly updated and look out for emails and bulletins from your Employability Adviser.
